Before the war in Ukraine, I was a marketing director at a large IT company. But living through years of uncertainty took a serious toll on my physical and emotional state. I reached a breaking point and made the hard decision to leave home and rebuild my life from scratch.

That journey brought me to Bali, where everything shifted. I let go of status, career pressure, and material distractions. I started finding joy in simple things - quiet views, real conversations, presence. My values changed.

On Bali, I met people from all walks of life - many of them on their own paths of transformation. One of them was Elias, a designer from Santa Monica, California, who had left the fashion mainstream to focus on slower, more mindful design. We kept in touch.

Back in Europe, I couldn’t find clothes that matched my new mindset. I needed something simple, well-made, and lasting - but kept running into loud, overpriced, or disposable options. That’s when I remembered Elias and reached out.

I shared my vision, he understood it instantly. We exchanged long calls, moodboards, late-night voice notes. That collaboration gave birth to the first Yes Unless pieces.
